Welcome to the NNGHC

And welcome to the web site of the Northern Nevada Gaited Horse Club. If you have any comments we would appreciate the input.Also any members that would like to submit items including photos, please contact the web site manager. NNGHC is also a recognized club with the American Trail Trials Association and North American Peruvian Horse Association.

Purpose:

To provide a forum for members to further their interest in and enjoyment of gaited horses. The club will sponsor educational activities to encourage good horsemanship, sportsmanship, and safety. It will organize competitive events, trail rides, clinics, and other events to foster friendship among riders of gaited horses. Furthermore, the club will be a source of information to the public about the talents, versatility, and capabilities of each gaited breed and may provide demonstrations of the various gaits at horse shows and parades. The club does not support or condone any inhumane practices against gaited horses, nor does it support or condone any events which allow said practices.

THE NEXT GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY May 16th  AT LOS COMPADRES MEXICAN RESTAURANT 25 FOOTHILL RD RENO NV. DINNER IS AT 6 PM AND THE MEETING STARTS AT 7 PM . ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Also check the events page of this site for a complete listing of meeting dates for 2012.

SEPTEMBER 22 – 23, 2012 - NNGHC CLASSIC ALL GAITED BREED HORSE SHOW

  • The ANNUAL ALL-GAITED BREED CLASSIC SHOW will be held September 22-23 2012 at the Carson City Fairgrounds in Carson City NV. Judges this year are Julie Moore ( IJA ), and Nicolaus Breaux (NAPHA ).The show is sanctioned with FOSH, NAPHA and MFTHBA. Questions contact the show manager at 775-750-7934 or nnghcshow@gmail.com
